Some notes on tomorrow afternoon's contest between AIC and Bowdoin:

BOWDOIN BY THE NUMBERS: Defenseman and co-captain Peter Kravchuk has appeared
in 92 consecutive games for Bowdoin, every game since he arrived...Freshman
Marcello Gentile has scored 11 goals in his last 10 games...The freshman line
of Gentile and identical twins Joe Gaffney and Charlie Gaffney has averaged
six points a game over their last six games

CURRENT RECORDS: Bowdoin is coming off an emotional 3-2 win over Colby Wed.
night and is currently 9-5 overall and 8-4 in ECAC East. AIC plays Colby
Friday night, and prior to that game the Yellowjackets were 7-10-1 and
6-8-1 in the league.

THE SERIES: Bowdoin holds a 11-6-2 advantage in the series, including a
8-2-1 advantage in Bowdoin's Dayton Arena. Last year, at AIC, the
Yellowjackets won a thrilling game in overtime, 4-3. This series has had
some interesting moments in recent years. In 1988 in the ECAC playoffs,
AIC held a 3-1 lead with less than two minutes to play when Bowdoin coach
Terry Meagher sent in a makeshift senior line to play out the string.
Incredibly, the seniors scored twice, and Bowdoin wins in overtime.

GAME OUTLOOK: AIC's record is somewhat deceiving. AIC has suffered losses
to Division III powerhouses Plattsbugh State (4-3) and Elmira (6-2).
Assumption is coming off a weekend sweep of Trinity and Canisius.
Bowdoin has a scheduling advantage, with Friday night off while AIC played
at Colby. Perhaps the special teams will have an impact on this game:
AIC is only 11 for 83 (13.3%) on the power play while killing off only 72.7%
(40-55) of their opponents chances in the man-advantage situation.
Bowdoin, however, has only given up six power-play goals in 60 chances (10%)
and has scored while a man up 22.2% of the time (16-72).
