FALMOUTH, Maine - Former University of Maine and current Chicago Blackhawk
blueliner Eric Weinrich last weekend hosted an inaugural Celebrity Golf
Tournament, for the State of Maine Alzheimers Association. Joining Weinrich
were several other NHL players, including ex-collegian Boston Bruin Ted
Donato. The event netted contributions in excess of $72,000 for the
charity.
$ 72,000 might approximate the value of parking tickets and towing fees
issued in the tight parking lots around Alfond Arena during a typical
two-game weekend hockey series.
