the box score has gone to that other list
 
CC dominated the first period but were unable to score on 3 power plays
and Wisconsin netted an even strength goal with 2 1/2 to go and nettted a
soft ppg in the final 3 seconds. It was their only shot on the power play.
 
CC got two during the 3rd minute of the second period while wisconsin was
serving a major face mask penalty (and the victim of that face mask was
also sitting for roughing, so the scores were actually 4 on 4, but it
sounds better.  CC took the lead on brian swanson's 5 on 3 gal from in
close.
 
The third opened with scott swanson opening the gap to 2 (again 4 on 4)
but the badgers halved the margin (also 4 on 4) a scant 20 seconds later
The evened it up a minute later (at full strength) and the teams traded
goals with wisconsin scoring first and cc tieing it.  then came the early
goal in ot to ice it for the badgers
 
Gee, the arena is nice.  it rises almost as fast as mariucci and there are
no bad seats.  the press box has good views although it seems a whole lot
further away from the ice than the air force academy box.  My favorite
place to stand (down in the corner) is quite space limited.  Besides, 9 of
the 11 goals were scored at the other (north) end
