Hockey
National Hockey League Official Site An
engaging site for puck-crazed fans. Scores and
game recaps are posted daily, along with
up-to-date statistics on who's leading the
league in every conceivable category. Special
features such as a weekly review and one-on-one
interviews appear as part of a daily rotation.
And a glossary section offers some insight into
some of the game's finer distinctions, such as
what makes one player a "grinder" and another a
"mucker."

site keeps readers informed on college leagues.
Statistics and scores are mixed in with feature
articles and links to other hockey sites.
Die-hard fans will also want to follow the link
to a weekly on-line hockey talk show (though
you will need special software to hear the show
through your PC's speakers).

East Coast Hockey League The official site for
this increasingly popular minor league isn't as
slick as its NHL counterpart. But it's worth a
visit for anyone interested in scores and
schedules for the Richmond Renegades,
Birmingham Bulls or any of the league's 21
other members.

Frank J. Zamboni & Co. Pay your respects to
hockey's beloved apparatus, the Zamboni ice
surfacer, with a visit to this sparse but fun
site. The manufacturer has posted the complete
specifications -- including the all-important
turning radius -- of various Zamboni models and
has published a few interesting photographs,
too. Still, the phrase "hands-free operation"
used to describe one model definitely begs an
explanation.
