If Mankato had all the money in the world, like someone implied on the
original posting about this, they should look at only 2 coaches - period.
What coach has won more games in the last 4-5 years (the 90's) than any
other coach" You might as well go after the winningest coach - lots of
professional teams would like to get Don Shula as their head coach, and Mike
Ilitch owner of the Red Wings went after Scotty Bowman also. Regardless of
whether coaches would leave their current schools, you must contact the
winningest coach of the 90's - Red Berenson.

OR you contact the coach who has won the most NCAA championships in the 90's
- Jeff Jackson. Get the winning coaches and you will get the winning players
to come to your school. Look how much money JJ got from the Tampa Bay Bucs
because he is a proven winner.

Both of these coaches may turn you down, but they are the ones you must
contact first - it's pretty logical if you think about it.

As a final word, all of the coaches mentioned are great coaches and all would
do well for the new program. However, none of the coaches who are currently
head coaches are going to go there.
