Friday, December 8, 1995, Clarkson University, Cheel Arena

Potsdam, NY..Att: 3021

A crowd slightly over 3,000 saw Clarkson University Golden Knights and
the Brown Bears skate to a 4-4 overtime tie tonight.

The game started out with Clarkson skating strong, and the Golden Knights
quickly took a 2-0 lead just 8:26 seconds into the game. Brown responded
six minutes later with the games only power-play goal, to make it 2-1.
Clarkson goals were scored by Matt Pagnutti (Todd White, Kevin Murphy),
and by Dave Seitz (Pagnutti). The Brown goal was score by Jade Kersey (Bob Qui
Quinnel, Scott Humber).

Clarkson quickly got the goal back at the start of the second period to again
take a 2-goal lead. However, CU fell apart as a team about 5 mins into the
second period. The Clarkson goal was a lucky goal scored by K. Murphy (Pagnutti
, White). Brown scored once again , Bradford (Noble, C. Humber), and made
it 3-2. CU's Jean-Francois Houle scored his 3rd of the season to again make
it a 2-goal advantage. Houle's goal was one that was just kinda sitting in
front of the net, and he took advantage of it. Brown scored once again with
about 1:30 left in the period to make it 4-3 at the end of 2. Throughout
the second period, Clarkson did not play very well. It seemed that at
times, Brown was out hustling them and getting to the puck much faster.
Take for example, Browns' first goal of the period, which was handed to them
by the CU defense. The puck came down into the CU defensive end of the zone,
stopped by Dan Murphy behind the net. However, CU defensemen did not respond
quickly enough, and Brown beat them to the puck, and proceeded to score about
10 seconds later. Clearly, a goal that should have not been scored by Brown.

Brown once again scored 1:09 into the third period to make it a 4-4 game
and the teams skated it to an overtime tie.

Overall, tonights game, puts Clarkson at 5-0-1 in the ECAC and 7-3-2 Overall.
The Brown Bears are 1-4-2 ECAC, 2-5-2 Overall. Clarkson next hosts Harvard
tomorrow AFTERNOON AT 3 PM.

The official box score and report information were provided by CU SID
