The College Hockey Discussion List Poll for February 22, 1995:
Teams were given 15 points for a first-place vote, 14 for a second-place
vote, and so on down to 1 point for a fifteenth-place vote. Total first-
place votes are in parentheses.
Last week's big gainer was this week's big loser, as Clarkson, which gained
three spots in the last poll, was swept at home by Cornell and Colgate and
as a result dropped four spots to #9. Another ECAC team made the biggest
jump in the poll this week, as ECAC co-leader Brown moved up four places to
#11.

This week's HOCKEY-L and media composite shows that things have shaken out
pretty well among the rankings. HOCKEY-L and the four media polls all have
the same teams in their top ten, and the first- through fifth-place rankings
are identical.

The ratings composite points out an interesting sidelight to the recent
discussion of how strength-of-schedule should be weighted. Note that
Northeastern, a 0.500 team which has so far played a strong schedule, is #8
in the RPICH rankings, but #14 in KRACH and #15 in the rest. A pretty
sizable disparity.
