That was an interesting item that Jon posted about two additional RPI
recruits being announced, especially coming so soon after Dan Fridgen
was announced as RPI's new coach.  Not knowing any additional facts, I
must think that these two players must been more impressed with Fridgen
than with Buddy Powers, for otherwise wouldn't they have been announced
earlier?  The other possibility is that they would have played for
either Buddy or Dan but wanted to wait until things were settled in
case a third person had been announced as coach.
 
It is also interesting that RPI was able to sign two additional players
considering that as has been mentioned before, they had only one vacant
scholarship.  [No has abandoned ship and headed to BG, have they?]
 
I agree with Jon that by ECAC standards, having 4 recruits drafted by
the NHL makes it apparently an excellent recruiting year.  [and
considering that USA Today stated that only 6 college players in total
were drafted ...    :-)  :-)  :-) ]
