First - I should have included a supply of smileys with my thieves comment.
 
Second - that particular response was in response to the curved stick
operation, not the alumni game.
 
Third - I was not in any way making a claim for ANYTHING original at MSU;
rather was just responding to a post asking whether alumni games were
done ANYWHERE else.  They are commonplace in many places and many sports
of which I am aware - I was just trying to respond to another posting.
  If you had resonded to her before I did, I likely would not have
said anything at all.
 
  I came very close to responding to her privately rather than on the list;
I sorely regret that I didn't.
 
  My aplogies to anyone I offended - it was certainly not done intentionally;
unfortunately I can't rescind something I have already done.
