CCHA PLAYER-OF-THE-WEEK: Ferris State University senior center John dePourcq
has been named CCHA Player-of-the-Week for the week ending March 2nd.
DePourcq, a 5-8, 170 lb. native of Penticton, British Columbia, had five points
(1G, 4A) in a weekend sweep of Bowling Green. In Friday's 5-3 Bulldog victory,

up both of Rod Taylor's third period power play goals putting FSU in front 5-2.
In Saturday's 3-2 (OT) Ferris State win, dePourcq set up Taylor early in the
third period knotting the score at two. He also assisted on Daniel Chaput's
game-winning goal at 9:23 of the first overtime.
DePourcq was a June 1989 supplemental draft pick of Pittsburgh. This is the

NOTES
LSSU's Madeley continues strong play: Laker sophomore netminder Darrin
Madeley allowed UIC just four goals on the weekend (two on the power play) and
one in the third period.
Lakers start strong: Lake Superior has outscored its opponents 83-30 in the
first period this year. LSSU has allowed just four first period goals in the
last 10 games.
Two Flames end careers in UIC's top ten: UIC seniors Dominic Dunlap and Bob
Melton each ended their collegiate careers in style. Melton assisted on three
of UIC's four goals at LSSU, while Dunlap scored twice to tie Friday's game at
three. Melton finished sixth on the UIC career scoring chart with 117 career
points, with Dunlap finishing in a tie for seventh at UIC with 113 points.
Wiseman helps Michigan reach CCHA Final Four: Wolverine freshman Brian Wiseman
had four goals and one assist in Michigan's sweep of OSU. Wiseman scored twice
in the first period while adding an assist and the game's final goal in the
third period. He was also a +4 for the weekend.
Rolfe tallies for FSU: Bulldog senior defenseman Dan Rolfe scored late in the
first period of Saturday's contest to tie the score at one. It was Rolfe's
first goal of the year and just the second of his career (his first career
goal was November 20, 1987 also against BGSU in an 8-4 FSU loss at home).
Taylor second in NCAA in goals: Ferris State senior Rod Taylor scored three
goals on the weekend (all on the power play) to raise his season totals to 41
goals, 15 assists for 56 points with a league-leading 24 power play goals.
MSU's Woolley leads all NCAA blueliners in scoring: Spartan junior defenseman
Jason Woolley scored 15 goals (10 on the power play), while assisting on 44
others for 59 points. His 59 points led all MSU scorers. He was also third
on the Spartan team with a +/- rating of +15.
"New" teams to make appearance at "The Joe": The Western Michigan Broncos are
making their fifth CCHA Final Four appearance and first since 1988 when they
finished fourth. The Bulldogs ares making their first CCHA Championship (Final
Four) appearance. Ferris State played at Northern Michigan in the 1980 CCHA
Championship (when the Championships were played at campus-sites). NMU won
the two-game two-goals series 15-9. This is the first time in the 10 years
the CCHA Championships have been held at Joe Louis Arena that neither Michigan
State or Bowling Green has made it. In fact, it is the first time in the
20-year history of the CCHA that the final four teams are all from Michigan.
