Clarkson and BC tangled in the opener for each in Potsdam's Cheel Arena.
 
Much more details later. BC got on the board early in the game and made
it 2-0 halfway through the first. BC goalie Taylor was magnificent in
goal for the Eagles stopping at least 5 breakaways in teh first period
alone (14 saves in the first). Clarkson made it 2-1 late in the first
on a Craig Conroy goal but BC took another 2 goal lead part way into
the 2nd. Clarkson made it 3-2 late in the second and tied it in
the third. Taylor and Clarkson goalie Jason Currie each made key
saves late to send it into OT. Currie struggled early but made several
key stops in the third and OT. Clarkson's JF Houle had a point blank shot
which was snagged by Taylor and a BC player nearly tipped in a centering pass
but Currie slid across the crease to make a great save. Halfway through OT,
BC had trouble clearing the zone and Clarkson got a shot off. There was
a pile of players in front of Taylor and all of a sudden, the puck squirted
loose to Clarkson blueliner Brian Mueller in the slot who blasted one
past a helpless Taylor for the 4-3 win.
