Lake Superior 6   Miami 2 (don't know any further details other than
    they were tied 2-2 sometime in the second period.)
 
Mich State 6 Ill-Chi 3
 The game was closer than this, at leat part of the time.  MSU got two
goals from Clifford in the first period and one from Harper early in the
second to go up 3-0.  UIC got one goal at 16:45 of the second period from
McDonald, then Mathias at 3:16 of the third followed quickly at 6:47
by Brenner (sp?) to get a 3-3 tie.  After a time-out, MSU got a goal
from Carter at 10:49, then two empty-netters in the last minute of
play for the final margin.  A lot of penalties in the second period
including some a couple 5x3} ??
 each  direction.  The teams play again Sat nite (both in Chi).
