This is straight from the BGSU hockey coaching staff regarding
Aaron Ellis and his leaving BGSU.
 
Quite simply, Aaron did not meet academic standards and THAT was
why he did not receive a scholarship.
 
Aaron failed to go to class during the Spring 93 semester and he
became academically ineligible in May.
 
It became apparent that the college route was not the best way for
him. The coaches were thrilled with his performance on the ice as
a recruited walk-on, but he was a below-average student. And if you
fail the academics, you don't get to play hockey at BGSU.
