They did mention that a few of the players had college ice hockey
experience. I didn't catch if they specifically named Bryden.

I about died laughing during that broadcast. The commercialism
made it ridiculous. The teams were given full gear by Franklin.
The jerseys they were given almost looked identical. One team was
purple and white, the other was blue and white. They both seemed
like home jerseys so it was hard to tell teams apart other than
the difference in helmet colors. The surface, while I'm sure it
was nice to blade on, was horrible for the puck, which didn't slide
much at all. This led to people being very selfish with the puck,
hardly ever passing.

The funniest thing was that a whistle was blown once. ESPN went to
commercials. When they came back, the announcer told us that apparently
one of the producers wanted play to stop for commercials so he went and
found a whistle and blew it!

Kind of reminds me of the NC$$ and there endless pursuit of profits.

Other than that, the game was pretty bad. I know we play better
pick-up games than that, for any of those who saw the game.
The goaltending was atrocious, for one team anyway. On one
goal, a shot from about where the blue line would be, the goalie
kind of just watched it go in. It didn't even seem like he
tried to stop it.

Over all, this WRHL made a pretty bad picture for roller hockey.

If anyone wants to see a game, ESPN will have another game today,
Wednesday, at 4:00 or 4:30 EST.
