Junior goalie Mike Dunham upped his personal unbeaten streak to
17 games as the University of Maine Black Bears showed the
college hockey world just how deep their depth is, with a 3-2
victory over the Lake Superior State Lakers in the championship
game of the Great Western Freeze-out at Great Western Forum in
Englewood, Cal.
 
Maine improves to 17-0-1, while Lake Superior falls to 12-3-3.
 
With its second straight Great Western Freeze-out championship,
Maine will get an automatic invitation to defend its title next
year.
