There will be 15 former University of Wisconsin players in the NHL when it
begins its 76ht season.
Most of the ex-Badgers will be in familiar places, but defenseman Mark Osiecki
finds himself in Ottawa with the expansion team and foreward Steve Tuttle will
be with the other expansionteam in Tampa.
Other ex-Badgers in the pro are foreward Tony Granato at Los Angeles, goalie
Mike Richter with the New York Rangers, defenseman Gary Suter and foreward Paul
Ranhem with Calgary, forewards Scott Mellanby and Dave Maley with Edmonton,
defenseman Bruce Driver with New Jersey, defenseman Paul Stanton with
Pittsburgh, defenseman Chris Chelios with Chicago, goalie Curtis Joseph with
St. Louis, forewards Patrick Flatley and Brian Mullen with the New York
Islanders and defenseman Sean Hill with the Montreal Canadiens.
