It's still Michigan State on top, but second place was a dogfight between
Boston College and North Dakota. BC won by a single point, moving up from
3rd.
Colorado College and Michigan switch places, as do New Hampshire and
Minnesota.
MSU-Mankato makes its first appearance in the poll, breaking in at 10.
Cornell
is the only other new team, while Denver and Wisconsin drop out.
The WCHA has five teams in the top 12, the CCHA has three, Hockey East has
three and the ECAC has one, thanks to Cornell's entry (Clarkson was one
point
short).
There were 12 votes this week, seven West (5 WCHA, 2 CCHA), four East (2 HE,
1 ECAC and 1 MAAC) and one of indeterminate region.
