Scoring Penalties Time
FIRST PERIOD
G1-CC DARREN CLARK 24 (Brian Swanson 36) 0:36
the tigers start the game even quicker than last night's overtime.
this was almost a broken play as darren got the pass from brian,
tried to drop it off to his left winger (that'd be kryway) and the
pass hit a denver stick and came back to darren who poked at it
and it went through wagner's 5 hole.
P1-CC Paul Johnson (2-holding) 6:43
G2-DU ANDERS BJORK 14 (Paul Comrie 22, Bryce Wallnutt 3) PPG 7:24
this was on a scramble out front after cugnet made the first two
stops. anders was really on his game tonight and ended his career
in fine fashion.
P2-DU Joe Ritson (2-holding) 11:15
P3-DU Gavin Morgan (2-roughing) 16:41
P4-CC Berk Nelson (2-roughing) 16:41
P5-DU Shawn Kurulak (2-holding) 17:24
G3-CC BRIAN SWANSON 16 (Jason Gudmundson 25, Scott Swanson 29) 4-on-3 PPG 18:01
a bing bang boom scott from about the top of the circles to jason
on the left dot to brian on the right dot and the shot and the
sticks in the air
SECOND PERIOD
P6-CC Jon Austin (2-high sticking) 5:26
P7-CC Paul Manning (2-playing without helmet) 8:37
yes, a freshman mistake, but perhaps there could have also been a 15
yarder to the pioneer who pulled it off
P8-DU Paul Comrie (2-slashing) 8:53
G4-CC BRIAN SWANSON 17 (Dan Peters 16) 4-on-4 9:06
cc conyinues to use the big ice and their speed as peters clears
from the left side and brian streaks down the right blowing by the
defender and is able to cut across in front and push the puck by
wagner
P9-CC Calvin Elfring (2-interference) 13:59
P10-DU Paul Comrie (2-cross-checking) 14:11
P11-CC Paul Johnson (2-roughing) 14:11
G5-DU ANDERS BJORK 15 (Mark Rycroft 17, Joe Murphy 14) PPG 14:55
anders obviously didn't want his DU playing to end. I thought the
net crashers had dislodged the net before this went in, but the
tigers didn't protest too much
P12-DU Gavin Morgan (2-high sticking) 15:09
P13-CC Cam Kryway (2-interference) 15:47
P14-DU Todd Kidd (2-holding) 16:40
G6-CC JASON GUDMUNDSON 14 (Brian Swanson 37, Scott Swanson 30) 4-on-4 17:26
space makes the difference again. from just below the right point
to just tbelow the left point and the rifle gets past wagner
THIRD PERIOD
G7-DU ANDERS BJORK 16 (Paul Veres 6) 0:59
is this just a hat trick, a natural hat trick, or what?
P15-CC Cam Kryway (2-high sticking) 3:38
P16-DU Gavin Morgan (2-roughing) 6:42
P17-DU Shawn Kurulak (2-roughing) 6:42
P18-CC Dan Peters (2-cross-checking) 6:42
P19-CC Paul Johnson (2-roughing) 6:42
the linesmen earn their pay
G8-CC CAM KRYWAY 13 (Calvin Elfring 23) 6:57
calvin pops one from the point that wagner stops but cryway gets
the rebound
G9-DU ANDERS BJORK 17 (Paul Comrie 23, Bryan Vines 7) 7:24
Now it is a texas hat trick and makes the statement that bjork
won't go away. this was a cc turnover that got behind the net where
comrie put it out to bjork at point blank range.
P20-DU Todd Kidd (2-roughing) 10:02
P21-CC Cam Kryway (2-roughing) 10:02
and another meeting of the clan
G10-CC CAM KRYWAY 14 (Darren Clark 21, Paul Johnson 10) 15:21
blue collar, digging behind and kryway coes out around the left
side for the wraparound
Timeout Colorado College 17:24
Wagner out 17:52
and in the last two minutes, cc had more misses from center ice
than the shoot the puck contestants had all season.
CC is on a roll. Some folk are calling it the first stop on the
revenge tour. My judgement is that if they keep winning, they'll
finish high enough to stay in ann arbor at the west regional and
have to beat an eastern team and michigan state to get to boston
