> What is the "Noise Rule" ?
 
From the 1992 NCAA Ice Hockey Rule Book:
 
Rule 6-25:
 
NOTE 1: The band(s) will not be allowed to play while the game is in progress.
After a warning a bench minor penalty shall be assessed against the offending
band's team.
 
NOTE 2: Spectators are not permitted to use artificial noise makers, air
horns, or electronic amplifiers during the course of a game.  After a warning,
a bench minor penalty may be assessed against the offending fans' team for
delay of game.
