Babson 3   Bowdoin 1
 
The ECAC III East Bowdoin College Polar Bears opened their 1991-92
hockey season at home this past weekend against the powerful Babson
Beavers. Freshman Paul Crouteau (Lewiston, ME) scored his first goal
as a Polar Bear and goalie Tom Sablak stopped 33 shots but Babson
outplayed Bowdoin to achieve the 3-1 road win.

Bowdoin 2   St. Anselm 1
 
Bowdoin rebounded Saturday afternoon with a 2-1 win over St. Anselm.
Jim Kaplan '93 opened the scoring for the Polar Bears and Steve
Kashian '92 notched the game winner in the second period.  Superior
goaltending by St. Anselm kept the score close as Bowdoin outshot
their opponents 52-18!
 
 
Bowdoin is now 1-1 in ECAC III East play (1-1 overall).  The Polar
Bears go on the road next Saturday to face Amherst (ECAC III South).
