I would like to get into this discussion from a slightly different
direction. Here at the University of Central Florida where we all
consider ourselves hosts of spring break, there are a number of students
who are beginning to explore the possibilities of starting a club program
in hockey.

I would appreciate any information that anyone would be willing to share,
either on or off the list, about the important considerations, advice,
suggestions, pitfalls, problems, etc. that anyone starting a program
needs to watch for or know.

I know there is a vast amount of knowledge out there on the list and I
thank you in advance for your thoughts.

I also want to add that as I end my first season on the list that I have
been impressed by the high quality of discussion and reporting on college
hockey that has come over the list the last few months. And I want to
especially thank all those who report on the Minnesota Golden Gophers and
have given me the chance to reacquaint myself with hockey at the U.
