My latest conversation with the people at Troy Newchannels indicates they will
not broadcast the RPI/Minnesota game on Friday. When I asked to speak to a
supervisor to discuss the issue, he explained to me that the cable company
could not receive the signal from the satellite which beams the NCAA broadcast.
He stated they could broadcast the game because it was technically impossible
for them to receive the game of their satellite dishes. I asked if they had
the coordinates and he said yes, that was the problem.

Can any of you science/engineering types out there confirm that this guy's
explanation was plausible, that he wasn't feeding me a line of bull. Is it
in fact impossible to receive the satellite signals for certain broadcasts
because of your receiving equipment?

Also, is Minnesota getting the feed back home? Is so, who is doing the
broadcast?
