Pooley has officially stated that he has no interest in the OSU job.  He
stated in the Providence Journal that he is happy in Providence, sees a lot
of work ahead here and does not intend to seek another position.  Given his
success and considering how Providence handled Rick Barnes when he tried to
jump ship, I think it's a moot point.  Pooley is under contract in Providence
and would not be allowed out.  Barnes attempted to leave several years ago
and was not released from his contract.  I believe the same would be true
with Pooley.
 
Rumors such as these always seem to abound this time of year, but they are
just rumors.  Since they can and do have a negative impact on recruiting, I
would strongly urge that such rumors be contained until they become fact.
