Mike,
	 I think you may be mixing up Jarmo and Janne a wee bit. Jarmo,
since he has a job in the US (i.e. playing for the Bruins) he is exempt
from military service. He may have gone home to play on his national team, but
then again a lot of pro's do that, esp. the Canadians.
	Janne, however, came to Clarkson for less than a year and then
returned to Finland. Since he was not employed in the US, he was forced
into military service. The lasI heard he was playing on a team within
the military.
	I may be wrong on some points, but I do believe that Jarmo will
be back w/ the Bruins this year, probably on the Maine farm team 8-(.
