The article in The Hockey News gives more current statistics. It says
he's leading all 17-yuear-olds in the BCJHL with 33 goals and 85 points
in 51 games.  He's just turned 17 and it looks as if size may be his
biggest problem because he's 5-foot-7 and 140 pounds.
 
The article says he's "a gifted playmaker and passer with outstanding
offensive instincts."  It says Paul Kariya is faster, but Steve is more
willing to play the physical game, which frustrated Paul at the same age.
