Just two quick notes regarding the NU/Maine Prime/NESN telecast last
night:
 
 
Who was the guy sitting behind the Maine bench in the fron row wearing a
Hockey-L t-shirt?!?!?  You got a lot of camera exposure!!  Great
advertising!
 
 
Will someone else call NESN and tell them to lose Dawn Mitchell?  She's a
fair anchor person, but she's AWFUL trying to do an interview or live
report.  I think it's embarassing how poor she does, and in fact I often
cringe and change the channel briefly.  For example, in between the first
period of the UMASS/Amherst v. UMass/Lowell game last week, the FIRST
question she asked Aaron Kriss, a Lowell defensemen and Alternate Captain,
was, (and she was dead serious) "Aaron, how do you think the change of
Lowell's nickname from 'Chief' to 'Riverhawk' will affect the team?"
Ouch!  NESN's play-by-play and color guys are first-rate, but when you
average in the third or fourth-rate reporter like her, it averages out to
be second rate!  Not what we need to promote the sport!  (Bring back Amy
Stone!)
