As a former player and referee, and as a current coach. I would ask each
and every member of this list who attends a game and witnesses ANYONE
throwing anything on the ice to either report them to the ushers so they
can be removed from the arena, or throw them on the ice so the players from
both teams can deal with them.
 
Throwing anything on the ice at anytime is extremely dangerous for both
teams and the officials.  When you throw something on the ice it may be at
the opposing team, but it could very well be a player on your team that
steps on that same object. If he does this at top speed, the results could
ruin his career.
 
I know fans get caught up in the game, but throwing objects on the ice is
NOT the way to show displeasure or support for your team.
