I think there were a few reasons that RPI raised its season ticket prices;
one was that they hadn't gone up in (I think) seven years. Another
reason is that they need money to fund the Ned Harkness Field - raising
prices was seen as getting money from an athletic source to go to another
athletic project. Third, I think that with the extra ECAC games, at least
one of the extra games is a home game - thus the need to pay for an
extra ticket. And I also think that RPI has one year wehere it plays
more home games than the next year - alternating year after year.

Of course, $131 is steep, but that's the non-student rate, and it
is the cheapest hockey _season_ in town.

Now if you really want a pre-season rant, how about the fact that
there's no alumni discount for the season tickets? And can you tell
that this is the first year I'll have to pay non-student rates?
