And the match-ups are:

Friday Nov 25
York & BGSU 5 pm
Cornell & Toronto 8 pm

Saturday
York & Cornell 4 pm
BGSU & Toronto 7 pm

Because BGSU is using the "Foreign Tour" exemption
to play these games, they will be considered exhibitions
for the Falcons (in accordance with CCHA rules). This
also means that BG cannot face Cornell (another NCAA
school). That is one reaon for the format.{*}

Another reason is shown by the name: CAN[adian]/AM[erican]
Challenge. All four games pit 1 American University with
1 Canadian College.

{*}Personally, I would have rather seen BG replace two of
its Kent cancellations with this tournament, and save the
exemption (to let them play more than 34 games) for later,
thus making these games "count". But BG has instead filled
in the Kent games with (non-league) contests with other CCHA
schools.

The full BG schedule is in the HOCKEY-L archives.

Hope to be able to travel to Toronto!!

Keith
