In case anyone missed it, Phil VonStefanelli, BU'91, was signed to a minor
league (Providence) contract by the Bruins.  Although I doubt he will make
it to the big B's, it is nice to see Phil, #1, stay in the AHL, where he
finished up last year, and #2, come back to the Boston area.
 
The only bad thing in all this is that the Bruins signing a free agent
defenseman to a minor-league contract indicates that their interest in
Steve Foster (BU'94) has diminished greatly.
 
There's always the ECHL, grad school, or even work, but that's his business.
 
We wish them both well.
