Regarding the "Len Ceglarski can't coach his way out of a paper bag" quote
(most amusing)
and Jeremy's subsequent questioning of the fickleness of the fans
who would say such a thing:

The complaint is not a new one among BC alumni. For years, BC fans
have complained that Lenny could not win the big ones. Each year,
the Eagles are loaded with talent yet never seem to be able to
win big games. After a while, the blame can only be assigned to
the coaching staff. As an example let me cite a few BC stats
since the inception of Hockey East (7 seasons):

	6 regular season titles / 7 years

during these 7 years:

2 Hockey East Tournament championships (ok, maybe)
0 (yes, identically zero) Beanpot Championships
(this doesn't sit well with alums at all)
2 visits to final four, both losing in the semifinals

For a team that routinely plays through the regular season
acclaimed as the best hockey team in the east, these results
are just not good enough. So an ouster by Alaska-Anchorage
simply revives a deep-seated feeling among BCers that Lenny,
while a great recruiter, does not coach a game very well and
does not prepare a team for a big game properly. So when you
hear things like "he can't coach his way out of a paper bag"
(I really like that one :),
understand that this is not a one-time, fickle-fan complaint,
but one brought out quite often in certain circles, wrought from
long-suffering with teams that are supposed to be great but
never seem to play as well as they can in the most important
games.
