I believe Frank Anzalone graced NJ hockey with his presence for a spell,
coaching in Toms River before moving on to the ECHL. My chronology may
be a bit off...would Dowd be one of Frank's recruits?
 
New Jersey was also the home of Brian Lawton, the first No. 1 NHL draft
pick to come directly from high school. He then went on to an
unimpressive career with the North Stars and a few other teams.
