I had the opportunity to chat with Harvard Crimson assistant coach
Kevin Hampe on the plane ride home from Minneapolis.

Some tidbits:

Brad Konik will be back next year. (I was looking forward to an all Cabot
line, but with Cory transferring to Leverett...)

Michel Briestroff will be back next year on Defense. He made it through to
the last cut on the French Olympic hockey team.

Marco Ferrari will likely return to Defense next year. (I didn't have the
gumption to ask him about Ethan Philpott...;)

They're getting some 'good kids', one from Ontario (maybe the guy from
Halfnight's and Kennish's school?) and one from Canterbury.

Chuckie Hughes is teaching at his alma mater Catholic Memorial, and
studying for a master's in ed. at BC, I believe Coach Hampe said.
I told him about Eugene's idea that Chuckie ought to try to recruit
more CM players to Harvard instead of having them all go to BU!

I hope the Phinal Phour appearance helps the Crimson recruit some
talent, for the BOSTON tournament in 1997! (if not earlier, of course!)

Julian.
