This isn't really a college hockey note but might be of interest to
any fans of Paul Kariya.  Edmonton Oiliers GM is overseeing Canada's team in
next months World Championships.  The folks he's trying to get to play for
Canada include: Wayne Gretzky, Bob Blake, Shayne Corson, Luc Bobitaille, Bill
Randford and Paul (IMHO, Greatest College Hockey player Ever) Kariya.  Eric
Lindros and Mark Recchi might also go if Pilly is not in the play-offs.
        Can you imagine a line made up of Gretzky, Lindros and Kariya.  Of
course Kariya might just find himself on the bench watching, but I can dream.
Gretzky has not decided if he will play yet and his kids want him to play for
the US.  But if he plays it will be for Canada.
