Can anyone provide some clarification on the Wisconsin situation?

Does Wisconsin have to forfeit all the games no matter what the opponent does?
If this is the case, then if an opponent refuses to accept a forfiet are there
two losers for that game?

Or, if the opponent must accept a forfeit before a forfeit is actually assessed
to Wisconsin, does that mean that if no opponents accept a forfeit there would
be no punishment?

Having talked to the UNH coaches about forfeits in the past (most recently
garding the Maine/Ingraham situation), they would not want to win anything
by forfeit - they want to win only on the ice. Therefore, I could see where
many teams might not accept the forfeit if given the choice. After all, it's
not like the players were ineligible to play or wouldn't have played anyway
if the rent was $300 per month.
