HANOVER, N.H. (AP) -- Chris Albert's second goal of the night
gave Union a 5-4 victory over the Dartmouth hockey team Friday night.
Dartmouth erased a 4-1, first-period deficit before Albert
scored the winner on a power play.
The victory improved Union's record to 7-7-2, while Dartmouth
fell to 3-12-1.
The Big Green got on the board first on a power play goal by
Patrick Turcotte at 3:12 of the first period. But Union took a
4-1 lead by the end of the opening period thanks to two goals
by Cory Holbrough and one each by Albert and Chris Ford.
Derek Geary got the Dartmouth rally started with a power play
goal 28 seconds into the second period, and Mike Stacchi made it
4-3 at 17:52 of the period.
Turcotte notched the tying goal at 2:34 of the third.
Union goalie Luigi Villa had 34 saves and Dartmouth's Mike
Bracco had 25.

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) -- Junior left wing Rob Pattison's improbable
shot from his knees with 11:25 left in the game rallied Vermont to
a 4-4 tie with RPI in a college hockey game Friday night.
The Catamounts, stymied by RPI's Neil Little throughout most
of the game, finally clicked when Dominique Ducharme cut RPI's
lead to 4-3 3:09 into the third period. Pattison, who was robbed
by Little, picked up his own rebound while on the ice and backhanded
it over Little's left shoulder to tie the game.
Brian Leddy put Vermont on top 1-0 at 1:07 of the first period.
Wayne Clark tied the game at 4:47 of the first, the first of his
three goals. Clarke added his second 26 seconds later, picking up
a loose puck in the slot and shooting past Vermont's Tim Thomas,
who was out of position.
Vermont tied it on Nicolas Perreault's breakway at 6:56, but
Craig Hamelin's power play goal at 19:35 put RPI back on top 3-2
at the end of the first period.
Clarke scored his third goal at 8:18 of the second period,
giving the Engineers a 4-2 lead. That two-goal lead held thanks
to Little's goaltending. He had 11 saves in the second period,
including nine from within 10 feet.
Little finished with 38 saves, while Thomas had 21 for Vermont.
RPI, 12-4-2 and 6-3-2 in the East Coast Athletic Conference,
remained in fourth place in the league.
Vermont is 8-8-3 and 4-4-3 and is in fifth place.
