I've been reading prediction after prediction and no one anywhere has
any faith in the Wolverines. So I guess I'll have to stand up for
them...

In Friday's First Round:
WISCONSIN over Miami.
Sorry, Redskins. Wisconsin's got last year's tournament
experience and always a strong desire to win come playoff
time. This one will be close...

Second Round:
MICHIGAN over Wisconsin.
THE 1992 PHINAL PHOUR REMATCH--MICHIGAN TAKES REVENGE!
Yes, Yes, so Michigan lost badly to LSSU last weekend. LSSU
played an INCREDIBLE three periods of hockey and Michigan's
mind's were in the lockerroom watching the Tigers on WDIV.
But Michigan did show up for the third and that's a good sign.
Also, LSSU played no where near the same caliber Sunday against
the Redskin's (and still beat 'em). This is another reason
why I think the Badger's will advance to play Michigan.
Michigan's scoring machine is unstoppable when their passes
are hitting and Steve Shields (2.08 GAA) can be a brick wall
when his defense plays well in front of him. Sadly, Michigan
usually (read: always) comes out slow and sluggish in the
first period of the first game of a weekend. This is why I
almost wish we had gotten the 3W. If Michigan can keep
themselves from taking the first period to get warmmed up,
then the game Saturday will be over before it began.

Phinal Phour:
MICHIGAN over Maine.
THIS IS THE GAME WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR ALL YEAR.
Come on, admit it. All year long these teams have been #1 &
#2. And this is one game I will NOT miss. Like I said above,
if Michigan can come out of the lockerroom ready, then the
game will be close to the bitter end. If not, Maine will run
away with the first period and Michigan will never see their
        faces again.
My pick here is sentimental. I honestly think Maine has the
better chances in this one, but I just can't pick against
Michigan (who always plays to the level of their opponent--a
Michigan athletic department tradition [look the Fab &%$holes
that wear those too-damn-long shorts on the basketball court]).
LET THE GAME OF THE CENTURY BEGIN...

I'm not going to give out all of my picks, but I honestly believe that
we are looking at an all-CCHA final, with the tournament semi-final
rematch going to the Wolverines.

The Wolverines are strong and (i hope) will stand tall and prove them-
selves to the hockey world that the #1 pre-season ranking was NO JOKE.

LET's GO BLUE!

(Boy, the Maine/Michigan game will be confusing with everyone yelling
GO BLUE! won't it?)
