     I haven't seen this on the b-board yet, but I heard on "the FAN" the other
day that two new sports have been approved by the International Olympic
Committee for the '94 Winter Olympics.  These are:  1) curling and 2) women's
hockey.
 
     This development no doubt will encourage the growth of women's programs in
the US beyond the northeast.
