1991-92 HOCKEY EAST AWARDS (all-star teams were posted several days ago)

Co-Rookies of the Year
(tie) Craig Darby, RW, PC; Ian Moran, D, BC
Len Ceglarski Sportsmanship Award
 Joe Flanagan, Sr C, UNH
Team Sportsmanship Award
 Merrimack
Bob Kullen Coach of the Year Award
 Jack Parker, BU
Player of the Year
 Scott Pellerin, Sr LW, Maine

Two rumors heard at Hockeyfest:
1) Junior goalie Scott LaGrand has played his last game for Boston College.
2) UNH is going to build a new rink.

Speculation was also heard on the question of whether new BC coach Steve
Cedorchuk would be moving away from the Ceglarski skating style and towards
a more physical game. That could be interesting.

Also, the effects of the changes in Eastern Europe continue to be felt in
college hockey. Michigan and Wisconsin have already had Russian players
enroll. Another very good Russian is going to enroll at a top prep school
in New England next year with an eye towards playing Eastern college hockey
in 1992-93.
