This being my first post I think it appropriate that the WCHA player of t
he week honors go to our own left wing, freshman Jim Storm. In this weekends s
weep of St cloud state university (yes 4 points for the huskies on the road!) H
e totaled 6 points on 4 goals and 2 assists. Including the final 2 goals in a
come from behind victory sat night which saw the huskies trailing 4-1 going int
o the third and comming out 6-5 winners. Storm now has 7 goals and 6 assists fo
r the much improved huskies under new coach Newell Brown, who seems to have the
huskies on the right track to recovery and the support of all tech hockey fans
who have waited fo its comming. The big test comes this weekend as the huskie
s take a 5 game winning streak into minnesota for a pair of games with the Goph
ers. Who by the way took over the top spot in this weeks WMPL hockey poll after
defeating and tying northern michigan over the weekend.
