Playing in the first game of the NCHA playoffs, the 12 game winning streak
came to a sudden halt as Point tied Bemidji State.

        Bemidji State 1 1 1 = 3
        UWSP 0 2 1 = 3

Point looked dreadful in this game. In the first period we only had 5 shots
on goal. We were standing around, not passing, not shooting. We were skating
and hitting, but so was Bemidji. Frankly, we were lucky to get the tie.
Tonight's game will decide the match [and, *sob*, I can't be there :-(] - sure
hope they can win without me to cheer them on. Actually, I'll be extremely
shocked if we don't win tonight. We are clearly the better team when we have
an average night, and I can't imagine we won't be pumped up tonight. It may
well be Monday before I can post the result, however.

Also heard that UW-Superior knocked off Mankato State 6-1.

BTW, on another note, I also was able to watch USA-EUN match (Friday wasn't
good to me in terms of results). I disagree with the comment posted to the
list that USA has to learn to play with more discipline. We actually were
quite disciplined against a clearly superior team. Consider penalties were
1-1 after one period. The spate of penalties came toward the end when we were
starting to get desparate.
