I appreciate all of the input due to my question asking recently. As a member
of a Division III Track team (Union College), I have seen the problems with the
NCAA(sorry folks, but I have no real grudge with them, hence the original
moniker =-), so I understand your concerns. For the last two years, our school
has hosted the NCAA X-C Regionals, and the greed was evident there. We sold
official T-shirts for $20, of which the NCAA took about $15 of the profits
per shirt. We host the NCAA X-C Nationals next year. I can't wait to see
what $$$ scheme they have set up for that. But, all in all, I have no real
grudge with the NCAA. I'm goin' on the road this weekend with the Union squad,
so Jim's eventual post will be made up of my information. Have a good one.
