For the second week in a row the MTU huskies have learned they have lost a
senior to back problems.
 
     Senior Winger Davis Payne was diagnosed as having a herniated disk in his
      back and will miss the rest of his senior season with the huskies. After
       playing in pain friday night he was reexamined.   Having played in 10
       games this season, he is ineligible for redshirt status.  Davis comes
       off a career high 15 goals and 20 assists last season.
 
     Acording to coach Newell Brown, Davis is probably going to have surgery
       to correct the problem.
