I agree with most of what you say.  I guess it's a case of who we both see
the most.  I know Maine can play with UNH, even if they are not showing it.
 
UNH has a better defense and goaltending.. and more skilled forwards.  I
think speed up front is probably pretty close, but UNH has a bunch of
snipers while Maine has a bunch of hard workers.. sometimes!  :-)
 
One of the reasons many Maine people are upset at playing UNH three times
already is that many feel Maine will be a much better team in February than
they are now.  I don't know if I'll go that far, but I think they will be
improved.
 
I'm secretly rooting for UNH to keep it up.  If someone has to take over for
Maine, it might as well be UNH.

We'll see what happens.. if Maine and UML return to their forms of recent
years the tournament could last simply because of the power rankings involved.
 
If the tournament was held later in the year, it might mean more.  It is
essentially meaningless in November.
