WCHA is reseeded before the Final Five Tournament.

Why?
If #10 (Let's go by the current standings) Northern Michigan beats Colorado
College, they would get reseeded to the 5th position. If there wasn't
reseeding, I guess your tourney would look like this:

1 Colorado College
---------------------
                     \ 10 Northern Michigan
                      -----------------------------\
10 Northern Michigan / \
--------------------- \
4 North Dakota \___________
----------------- / |
7 Wisconsin \_7 Wisconsin_______ / |
-----------------/ \ / |
5 Minnesota Duluth \_7 Wisconsin/ |
------------------ / |
6 Michigan Tech \5 Minnesota Duluth/ |
------------------/ |_________
                                                                  |
3 Denver |
------------------ |
                  \ 3 Denver |
                   ---------------------- |
8 Saint Cloud / \ |
------------------ \ |
                                           \______________________|
2 Minnesota /
------------------ /
                  \ 2 Minnesota /
                   ----------------------
9 Anchorage /
------------------

And then you have the two worst teams left playing for a spot in the
championship and the two best teams left playing for one spot and no
possibility of the two best teams left in the playoffs playing for the
conference championship. In the current reseeding system and this scenario
of first round winners, Northern plays Wisconsin, and the winner plays
Minnesota and Minnesota Duluth plays Denver.
