There are two publications here in Minnesota some of you might be interested
in. The first one is a regular magazine devoted to "The Art of the State".
Minnesota Hockey Magazine covers all levels of hockey in Minnesota although
there is an emphasis on college players. Eight issues are published per year
(September through April, monthly) and an 8-issue subscription costs $17.95.
This magazine is really worth the money. Their address is: 1022 West 80th
 Street, Bloomington, MN 55420-1009...phone # (612) 884-4490.

The second publication is a weekly newspaper that has been going for 20 years.
It's called "Let's Play Hockey" and it covers a lot of hockey. There are
reports from all conferences on the college level, some reports on the Pro's,
and reporting on the younger levels of Minnesota mainly. A subscription costs
$24.00 for one year. There is one issue in August, one issue in October and
then weekly issues from November through April. It is a really interesting
publication, with interesting writers from all over the country. Their
address is: 2721 East 42nd Street, Minneapolis, MN 55406...
 phone # (612) 729-0023.

Both of these are NOT found on your local news-stand, but can be found at
a sporting store such as Steichen's Sports and some sports bars!

Only 21 more days till the Gopher season opener.
Twins "magic number" is now at 10.
