TOP SIX TEAMS COMPILE 9-1-2 OVERALL MARK TO START FEBRUARY
FOUR KEY SERIES THIS WEEK AS BATTLE FOR HOME ICE HEATS UP
 
ANN ARBOR -- Michigan, with victories over Western Michigan and Michigan State,
remained in first place, while Lake Superior solidified its fifth place
standing with two wins at Ohio State.  Miami swept visiting Notre Dame to stay
in fourth place.  Ferris State garnered three of four points with a tie against
the Spartans and a win at Western Michigan.  The Bulldogs are one point behind
Lake Superior for fifth place (final home ice playoff spot), however, Ferris
State has played the most league games with 22.  Despite playing non-conference
(two wins over Alaska Fairbanks), Bowling Green remained in second place.
 
Illinois @ Chicago will travel to Western Michigan on Tuesday (February 7th)
and then host Michigan on Friday and Saturday in Woodridge, Illinois (Seven
Bridges Ice Arena).  Michigan State entertains Miami for a pair, while Bowling
Green visits Lake Superior for two games.  Notre Dame skates against Ohio State
in South Bend both Friday and Saturday.
