        Well, jd, as far as I know, PARTS of what you wrote are true.
        First, the former UND player you are talking about is Ralph
Englestad (hence, the name of the Fighting Sioux Arena.)
        Second, yes he did make a huge fortune in Las Vegas (His casino
wasn't the Sands, by the way, it was the Imperial Palaca)
        Third, he's not a Nazi.  This was a big deal in ND a while back
and got lots of alumni in a tither.  Englestad chooses to spend LOTS of
his money on classic/antique/historically important cars.  One in his
collection is a limo which apparently at one time carried Adolph Hitler.
Englestad chose to display it, as part of his collection, with other Nazi
paraphanellia and a flag with a swaztika printed on it (all were
authentic WWII stuff, I think).  After the alumni through their little
fit, he closed that part of his collection/display.
        Fourth; if he did get his gaming license suspended, it had
nothing to do with the above.
        Fifth:  what does this have to do with Sioux Hockey?
