Wow! The message came in fast. Here goes...
[RE: Incident in the MSU press box]
Apparently, one of the UM assistant coaches had a few words with Dave Fisher
(CCHA head of officials) regarding the officiating. Someone from the MSU
staff (neither a coach nor SID) became involved as well. No biggy.
Whatever happened was settled in the press box.
[RE: Players in the press box]
Apparently (there's that word again), there are no players in the MSU press
box unless they are serving a real purpose, e.g. keeping a shot chart.
Whether or not any MSU players were in the box on Saturday is irrelevant,
because the UM players didn't need to be there.
And, I agree with everyone who messaged me saying that scratched players
have no business in the press box anyway. Let 'em sit in the stands and
*cheer*.
The only good thing that ever came of having a player in the press box is
when Glen Hanlon roughed up the St Louis Blues owner (or GM, whatever) for
cutting down Bob Probert. I'm kidding, I'm kidding. :-)
[RE: Parent's tickets]
Who knows? I spoke with a couple of fans who made the trip and they said
that their tickets were pretty decent. At least one of Michigan's players,
and supposedly more, was given standing room only. I haven't heard anything
further, and don't plan to pursue it.
To all that replied, thanks for the info.
