You'd think this kind of stuff would be simple. Unfortunately, it ain't (as
I found out many years ago when I compiled the Cornell Hockey Record Book,
and as I continually keep finding out).

From the Harvard 1993-94 Men's Hockey media guide, C. J. Young holds the
Harvard record for the fastest three goals, 49 seconds vs. Dartmouth,
12/12/88.

From the ECAC Hockey 1993-94 media guide: C. J. Young of Harvard holds the
individual record for most penalty minutes in a game, 3, vs. Dartmouth,
12/12/88 (as Dave Barry would say, "I am not making this up."). The record
for most shorthand goals in a game is 3, held by Jason Greyerbiehl of
Colgate vs. Yale, 1/6/89.

I hope Santa Claus sent the ECAC a proofreader for Christmas.

From the ECAC's press release of 12/19/88: "Young established two new
standards when he scored three shorthanded goals in a span of 49 seconds.
The outburst set a new mark for shorthanded goals in a game and another for
the fastest hat trick."

From the ECAC's press release of 1/9/89: "With three shorthanded goals and
an assist in Colgate's 7-2 win over Yale, Red Raider freshman winger Jason
Greyerbiehl is this week's ECAC Player of the Week. The Bramalea, Ont.
native became the second ECAC player this year to accomplish this feat (C.
J. Young of Harvard did it on one penalty against Dartmouth in December)."
